Creating eLearning courses, Instructor Led Training (ILT), and virtual Instructor Led Training (vILT) is a process. That process includes completing a needs assessment and working through the design process with design documents, storyboards, and voiceover scripts. Without these 3 documents, moving forward in the development of the course is next to impossible. While some tools, such as Rise 360 may not require a storyboard, having the design document to deliver to stakeholders will ensure all parties are on the same page and any questions are cleared up before development begins.

This is a technical eLearning course designed for new users of the Creality Ender 3 3D printer. As a 3D printing hobbyist, I belong to a few groups on social media. The weeks after the winter holidays shows a big increase in new users, asking a lot of the same questions that I addressed in this course. I used these troubleshooting questions as a needs analysis to design a course with four main learning objectives.
By creating an eLearning course, anyone in the world can take the course when they are ready to. It is meaningful to the learner because they are trying to learn the intricacies of a highly technical hobby.

The is an eLearning course designed for people who are choosing to adopt a pet from the Partnership for Animal Welfare and Humane Society (PAWHS). The current director indicated that many people don't understand the timeline for which an animal takes to adjust to a new home. In addition, she wanted to emphasize the importance of routine veterinary care.
I choose to use Rise for this sample because it is more like a webpage that people view. By adding this course to my portfolio, adopters can access it since PAWHS doesn't have their own website. It is available at any time, day or night, and individuals can show the director that they've completed the course.
